To Queens College
From/To: Downtown Flushing:
- Walking will take about 45 minutes, going south on Main Street and then Kissena Boulevard.
- By app rideshare or street hail green taxis 10-20 minutes.
- Q17 bus will leave you at the corner of the Long Island Expressway (AKA Horace Harding Expressway) in 20-25 minutes from Downtown Flushing hotels.
- At Main Street, taking the Q20A or B or the Q44-SBS towards Jamaica via Main Street will take you to the door
From/To: Manhattan:
- By app rideshare or street hail green taxis 30-45 minutes (~$ 40)
- E or F trains to Continental Avenue-Forest Hills stop to the Q64 bus (follow signs). Get off at Kissena Boulevard. This is how most QC students and faculty do it. The E and F run express. You can also take the M and R local (considerably slower).
- QM4 Express Bus between 50-70 minutes ($7) with the advantage of a one-seat ride. Again get off ,at Kissena Boulevard. The method is popular with some QC faculty.
NWAV will have a shuttle from the Asiatic Hotel New York (in Flushing) to Queens College, every morning at 8:15 and a return shuttle at 8:15 pm on Friday and Saturday, and at 5 pm on Sunday.
To Downtown Flushing Hotels
From/To LGA:
- Downtown Flushing is 10 minutes away from LaGuardia Airport by rideshare; unfortunately, public transportation isn’t great despite the closeness.
From/To JFK:
- It’s about 30-50 minutes from JFK by rideshare and if there’s traffic about the same by public transportation (check MTA.info or google maps).
From/To Manhattan:
- 20 minutes from Penn Station LIRR (between $5 and $10.75 depending on time or day).
- 50-60 minutes on the 7 Subway from Times Square, Grand Central and other stops and with connections from all over Manhattan ($2.90)
- From Chinatown Zhong Hua Flushing-Chinatown Shuttle Van Service ($4)
